Medicinal ingredients

Each measuring spoon (= 1.2 g) contains

Magnesium peroxide ................................................................................................... 1.2 g

Dosage and administration

Adults: 1-3 measuring spoons of powder twice a day in some water or juice, 1 hour after meals,

Duration of use

OZOVIT™ should not be taken for longer than one week

Contraindications/Cautions

Do not use if you impaired kidney function and bowel obstruction (ileus). Do not use if you are hypersensitive to Magnesium peroxide. Contraindicated to children under 12 years of age.

No risks have so far emerged in the recommended dose range. However, like all medicinal products, OZOVIT™ should, for general safety considerations, be used during pregnancy or while breastfeading only after consulting a health care practitioner.

In case of severe diarrhea, reduce dosage or discontinue treatment for a couple of days. Then continue administration at lower doses.

Side effects

There have been isolated reports of more intense diarrhea with bowel spasms and electrolyte loss. These undesirable effects can be avoided by reducing the dose.

Interactions with other drugs

Due to possible impairment of absorption, OZOVIT™ and the following drugs should generally be taken 1 to 2 hours apart from each other: iron, tetracyclines, sodium fluoride, isoniazid, chlorpromazine, and digoxin.

As with other laxatives, prolonged use of OZOVIT™ may be associated with increased loss of water, potassium, and other salts. This may cause disorders of heart function and muscle weakness.

Therefore this product should not be used for longer than a week.
